My main research interest concerns the theoretical study of properties of molecules and solids
by the development and application of ab initio many-electron computational approaches
that are based on molecular quantum mechanical methods.

I am especially interested in studying excited state properties of extended systems. Much of my recent work
focussed on electronic excitations in ionic transition metals compounds. Other interests are
the study of magnetic couplings and electron transfer phenomena.
